So, My studiomate Jess asked me to do a gesture of a profile piece of herself/persona. And of course, I went overboard with this “gesture” and just made a whole drawing out of it xDDD HOP YOU LIKE IT JESS~~
And just because I’m feeling artsy tonight, here’s a tiny glimpse into my other big project - “Keep Calm” fandom badges! I literally have at least three pages of ideas for these, but I want to have a nice set of about 25 for my first con as “HylianJess” so I’m trying to crank out a few each night. Of course I’ve done some simple ones first - it doesn’t take much to vector a Pokéball and a triforce, and the King of Cosmos I already vectored for this print (though - opinion time! - i’m not sure if i like him with all the colors, or if I should make it more minimalist/simpler. if i were to simplify just his head it would be all white with parts cut out so you could see the details. thoughts, anyone?). I couldn’t wait to show some of these off, so that’s why my tumblr followers get this first. I’ll try to post a few of them on a regular basis - maybe once a week? Bah, anyway, ENJOY!

Aaaaaand done! Last we have the Companion Cube and the Turret! I wanted to make them both adorable lolita girls. Kind of psuedo-gijinkas? I guess? Haha… I really like Turret girl personally, but they both look cute! Companion Cube will be sitting on an actual companion cube when I finish her. I just didn’t draw it here because reasons.

This is the main reason I really REEEALLY don’t want any spoilars for Korra. Some of it is unavoidable, I know. But I think I’m going to ban myself from Tumblr on saturdays until my iTunes downloads the new episode because… flknflakf;a Mike and Bryan are EXCELLENT storytellers and know when to let us in on whatever they want us to know or don’t. And really, usually I’m okay with spoilers because I’m impatient and look things up, but this time… just this once I WANT to be surprised.

Sketch: Portal Chibis (Round One)
So…. Cristin forced me into doing a Portal (2) chibi set. She didn’t have to force very hard xD Here are the first three: Chell, Wheatley and GLaDOS. Chell has her trusty portal gun, Wheatley has… himself and GLaDOS has PotaTOS, though I’m still going back and forth on whether she should have potaTOS or a plate of cake. HMMM. Anyway. The next three will have Cave Johnson, Turret and Companion Cube! Yay!

- I survived ACen with the help of my wonderful friends
- I aqcuired an awesome new studio partner
- I bought a portal gun
- I did a poster presentation, a translation presentation, took a kanji test, and took a final oral Japanese exam all within the span of a week
- I caught a cold
Things that will happen in the next week (in chronological order)
- I will finish my 8 page lit paper comparing Tatsumi’s use of ambiguity to Berndt’s definition of it
- I will get a plan for the future of my studio and my sister studios
- I will study my head sick for Japanese
- I will take the Japanese final
- I will finish this semester
- I will recover from said cold
- I will go to California and have the BEST VACATION EVER
- I will DRAW SOME THINGS TO PUT ON HERE gawd….
